“Het Visioen van Berlage”

Cabaretier en schrijver Vincent Bijlo is de achterkleinzoon van H.P. Berlage. Bijlo heeft Berlage’s opvatting dat kunst iets moet zeggen over de wereld waarin we leven van hem geërfd. Het Berlage Saxophone Quartet ook. Beide partijen slaan de handen ineen voor een nieuwe productie waarin wordt gereflecteerd op de idealen van toen en nu.

Met muziek van onder andere Bach, Debussy & Roukens, gesproken tekst door Vincent Bijlo en visuals van Jurjen Alkema, zal het Pantheon verrijzen op het podium en vragen we daarmee aandacht voor en reflectie op de rol van kunst in de samenleving.

Bijlo, the architect's grandson, will read his own texts while the quartet plays music, ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations to Joey Roukens.
